ABSTRACT
The purpose of powder sampling is to collect a manageable amount of the powder which is representative of the batch as a whole. This entry details the process of powder sampling, and discusses some of the important rules that must be followed in order to optimize sampling, such as the necessity of sampling from a moving stream of powder and sampling the entire stream for equal periods of time rather than part of the stream for the entire time.
