ABSTRACT
This entry examines the current status of non-invasive delivery of proteinand peptide biopharmaceuticals, with particular emphasis on technologies that appear to offer a viable solution to overcoming the challenges associated with delivering this of macromolecules. Factors pertinent to the technological development and the issues influencing potential realization of commercial products based on a given technology are also considered and scattered throughout the entry.
