ABSTRACT
Pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics relate drug administration to physiological effects, both beneficial and toxic, in patient populations. This entry presents the basic principles of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics with examples of how these principles can be used to increase the understanding of drug therapy and formulation.
