This entry emphasizes the great variety of analytical methods and underlying solid-state chemistry principles related to the API form characterization and quantitation. The entry also discusses the specialized, interdisciplinary skills that are required from an analytical scientist and the process of developing a sound, scientific understanding of all process-relevant forms leading to design of simple and robust analytical techniques for form monitoring.
