ABSTRACT
This entry discusses the main technical aspects of injection molding with emphasis on the issues and advantages connected with its transfer from the plastics to the pharmaceutical industry. Moreover, conventional and modified-release injection-molded dosage forms thus far proposed in the primary literature are reviewed.
