ABSTRACT
Isothermal microcalorimetry (IMC) is a nonspecific analytical technique that directly measures processes involving either heat production or heat absorption. This entry summarizes applications of this technology in pharmaceutical development including studies of compatibility, chemical stability, and physical properties, such as determination of amorphous content and polymorph transitions.
