Peptides and proteins are a rapidly growing class of drugs, with more than 200 on the market and hundreds more in development. This entry provides an introduction to the most common instabilities in peptide and protein drugs. It discusses chemical and physical instabilities with an emphasis on a clear description of selected degradation processes.
