ABSTRACT
Exostosis is the formation of new bone on the surface of a bone. Basically, it is a benign connective tissue tumor with proliferation of the bone tissue.
Exostosis can occur anywhere in the body, but it is very commonly seen in toes, fi ngers, jaw, long bones, heel, and scalp. It can also arise inside the nasal sinus cavity, eye orbits, etc.
