ABSTRACT
For onychoschizia (splitting into layers) use nail clippers (not scissors) or fi ne fi le, perpendicular to matrix.
Some of these coatings may be kept on the nail for a long time, but deserve to be fi lled at the base of the plate every 2-3 weeks. Others, such as preformed artifi cial nails, should not be kept for more than 2 days and need enough surface of a normal nail left to be stuck on it.
