ABSTRACT
The relationship between planning control and other means of control of potential pollution to the environment provided by the Environmental Protection Act 1990, the Water Resources Act 1991, and the setting up of the Environment Agency under the Environment Act 1995, has required a review of the role of the planning authority as one of the agencies involved in the control of activities which may result in pollution of the environment.
