ABSTRACT
It has already been noted that PACE is accompanied by the Codes of Practice, mentioned above under Pt VI (more specifically, under ss 66 and 67, as well as s 60 under Pt V). The Codes of Practice exist as a separate publication and are designed to assist in the interpretation and clarification of the relevant provisions of PACE, in addition to providing essential guidance to those who use its powers. For this reason, they will be referred to extensively throughout most of this book.
