ABSTRACT
Modernity set out the project of building the good society upon the firm foundation of secure knowledge, but knowledge has become temporary, a matter of experimental strength. Knowledge proliferates providing an immense number of studies or bites of information. Knowledge was meant to bring emancipation (consider Marx’s argument that truth would mean escape from ideology) the end to victimisation, the end to humans doing cruelty to others.
