Thorley’s Cattle Food v Massam (1880) 14 Ch 748

The manner in which an allegation is made, either light heartedly or vituperatively, may render a statement one which a reasonable person would not take seriously (per Lord Blanesburgh in Tolley v Fry (1931)).
