ABSTRACT
If the ombudsman does support a citizen’s allegation of maladministration, then the citizen will be sent a statement of complaint. This sets out exactly the area that the ombudsman will investigate. The organisation that is being investigated will also be informed and will be asked to send to the ombudsman their comments and all relevant papers.
