ABSTRACT
The Law Commission has recently considered reform of the law relating to the evidence that can be given in criminal proceedings of a defendant’s previous misconduct.68 The bulk of the Consultation Paper dealing with this subject is concerned with proposals for the reform of s 1(3) of the Criminal Evidence Act 1898, but some minor amendments to similar fact evidence were proposed for discussion.
