ABSTRACT
Although it has been possible to enter into an enforceable CFA in all types
of civil cases (except family law cases) since 1998 (SI 1998/1860) for those
entering into a CFA after 1 April, the success fee and any legal expenses
insurance premium are now recoverable from the unsuccessful opponent,
along with the usual costs of the action.
