ABSTRACT
Where all the partners in a firm are joint secretaries of the company, the name and principal office of the firm may be stated instead of the particulars mentioned in para (b). Section 289(2) applies for the purposes of the construction of references above to present and former Christian names and surnames. An overseas company on which a notice is served under s 694(1) and (2) cannot after two months from the service of that notice continue business in its corporate name. The Secretary of State may withdraw the notice served under sub-s (1) and (2) at any time before the expiration of two months form serving it and s 694 does not apply to the company.
