ABSTRACT
It is not the purpose of this chapter to describe every possible fracture, as this would be overly comprehensive for a text which is dealing with emergency medicine. What I will attempt to do is briefly outline the anatomy of the areas involved and pick out the fractures which are either common, and hence likely to give rise to problems, or ones which have a reputation for being missed.
