ABSTRACT

Establishing a good relationship with the client at the outset is vital to the ‘client for life’ concept of client management. All too often we lawyers tend to get so involved in the detailed legal work and priorities and pressures of the case that we sometimes forget or overlook the importance of keeping the client fully informed about what other things the firm can do for the client. Does each fee earner always remember to tell the client about other services of the firm which may be of benefit? Do we always remember to hand out the appropriate leaflets and information about the firm and how it can help the client? Are these brochures and leaflets up-to-date? The client information pack is one way to ensure that this is done in every case and with every client without fail.
