ABSTRACT
The Author was educated at the Oratory School and then obtained admission to University to read biochemistry and physiology. After leaving school he spent a year and a half in the Pharmaceutical Industry, working as a laboratory technician. This latter employment cured him of the desire to become a biochemist and made him return to his earlier and deeply held wish to become a doctor.
