ABSTRACT
With modern methods poor results should be rare. However, even in the absence of surgical problems, some eyes develop retinal problems that may or may not permanently affect vision. These complications are generally a result of low-grade inflammation as a consequence of the surgery, but most of these problems do respond to treatment. A satisfactory, planned, refractive outcome of the surgery is to be expected today.
