ABSTRACT
Mr Armando Cormio entered an agreement with Mr B and then emigrated to Australia, conferring a general power of attorney on his brother. On 6 January 1984 his brother commenced proceedings against Mr B, who had refused to conclude the agreement. The parties settled the dispute out of court in 1989 and the case was struck from the list. The applicant complained about the length of proceedings. Comm found unanimously V 6(1).
