ABSTRACT
Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium mycobacterium tuberculosis. It is spread by droplet, from man to man, by an infected person (the source case) exhaling (usually by coughing) tubercle bacilli into the environment. If these are inhaled by an uninfected person, tuberculosis normally develops in the following few months.
