ABSTRACT
Level 3 paediatric intensive care units (PICUs) are able to look after any manner of problem in all ages of children and infants, other than neonates, who should be looked after on a neonatal intensive care unit. They should be staffed by dedicated paediatric anaesthetists and intensive care trained paediatricians.
