ABSTRACT
The law on which personal injury actions are based is fundamentally the common law of negligence, but this is overlaid by many different statutes according to the factual context of the claim.Practitioners must be particularly aware of the statutory provisions relating to employer’s liability and the fact that strict liability attaches in a large number of circumstances.
