ABSTRACT
This chapter looks at disclosure and inspection of documents under the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and issues relating to case management.
The period after the defence is filed is an important one.A party who understands principles of case management and can use these effectively can achieve a significant advantage over the less active party. At this stage the parties have a duty to the court to assist in case management. However, to assist their clients, both sides should try to keep the momentum up,with the aim of securing a favourable settlement.
