In addition, daily fines can be levied on competition law offenders. According to s 8(3) of the Act: ‘… if the contravention concerned continues one or more days after the date of its first occurrence the undertaking … is guilty of a separate offence under that section for each day that the contravention occurs.’ These repeat offences can result in additional supplementary fines of up to C40,000 for each additional day the offence endures.
