ABSTRACT
Part (b) Gorge was employed as a lifeguard at a beach. He had just returned from lunch when he noticed that one of the swimmers, Flop, appeared to be distressed and was screaming and shouting. Gorge was about to take steps to rescue her when Flop stopped screaming. She had become too tired. Gorge thought she had stopped screaming as she was no longer in danger. He returned to the life station. Flop drowned.
