ABSTRACT
Introduction Moisture is responsible for 70 to 80 per cent of all damage in buildings. Thus, correct moisture control is a prerequisite for achieving sustainable buildings. True control, however, is only possible if we know how moisture is transferred to, and moves in, building assemblies and how assemblies degrade when staying moist.
