ABSTRACT
Hybrid ventilation is a new ventilation concept that utilizes and combines the best features of natural and mechanical ventilation systems. Hybrid ventilation provides opportunities for innovative solutions to the problems of mechanically or naturally ventilated buildings: solutions that simultaneously improve the indoor environment and reduce energy demand. Natural and mechanical ventilation have developed separately over many years and the potential for further improvements is limited. But the combination of natural and mechanical ventilation opens a new world of opportunities.
