ABSTRACT
Twenty years ago, the focus of environmental legislation was on end-of-pipe measures, and while emissions were considered as unavoidable, they could no longer just enter the environment via a stack or pipe. The aim was to reduce emissions via the use of socalled environmental technologies such as stack filters and water treatment plants.
