ABSTRACT
This chapter provides the reader with an introduction to the relevant legal issues related to the erection and operation of a bioenergy system. It considers the general aspects valid for any bioenergy system and system-specific details for the different technologies, as there are anaerobic digesters, biofuel-driven energy applications and solid-biomass-fuelled combustion units.
