ABSTRACT
The following species profiles provide a brief introduction to several of the diverse traditional Mediterranean forestmanagement systems that are associated with NTFPs: mastic gum from maquis woodlands, cork and argan oil from silvopastoral systems, pine nuts and pine resin from lowland coniferous forests and chestnuts from mountain woodlands.
