ABSTRACT
The planning of forest activities includes all the preparatory work to guide implementation in the field. This section covers the large-scale planning involved at the level of the FMU as a whole: operational planning of individual operations (such as harvesting or road construction) is considered in Chapter 16. The planning of forest activities described in this section also links to planning in the context of an EMS, described in Chapter 11.
