ABSTRACT
Over the past 10 years, a multitude of schemes for sustainable forest management certification have been developed, making it extremely difficult for the forest manager to know which SFM standards are most appropriate (see Box 24.1). There are subtle differences between the standards; meeting different standards may require different forest management practices.
