ABSTRACT
Tomorrow’s people will not arrive with a fanfare and a declaration of ‘We’re here!’. They have been sneaking up on us for tens of millennia and are even now carrying us along with them. To paraphrase Walt Kelly’s Pogo, we have met the artificially enhanced and they are us, and will continue to be us, more or less. To enhance or not to enhance is a question that has decisively been answered in the affirmative.
