ABSTRACT

Considerable attention has been devoted in recent years to the growing potential of ‘teleworking’, in which a worker avoids the need to commute to a place of work provided by an employer (typically, an office), but instead is able to work from a more convenient location (typically, their home). The widespread provision of broadband connections and powerful PCs has made the required technology largely ubiquitous for the working-age group in the population that may wish to use it.
