Installing Wood Pellet Technology
Pellet boilers are solid fuel appliances, containing significant amounts of • burning material during operation. The regulations regarding fireproofing may be significantly more stringent than for a fossil-fuelled boiler. Pellet boilers do not have balanced flues. They require adequate ventilation • of the boiler room. Specific requirements will vary but, as a rough guide, you should expect a permanently open ventilator at least as large in diameter as the boiler flue pipe (the flue itself is covered later on).
