ABSTRACT
This chapter is an introduction to the challenging nexus of gender and climate change. It will describe the main developments in practice and thinking around these themes, with an emphasis on developments within the past 25 years. It will also explain the main concepts and key defi nitions, and give some guidance on the structure of the book.
