ABSTRACT
Industry in the EU member states does not have to deal only with national regulations; a vast stream of European policies and regulations also impact on the national markets. A mêlée of directives, policies and proposals attempt to influence the markets in the Union, both centrally from Brussels and nationally in the member states. This chapter aims to explain the most important European rules and regulations for the power sector.
