ABSTRACT
The place where most leadership development takes place is in business schools, mostly university based, but many private. Despite the heavy criticism of them quoted in the Introduction to this section, an MBA (Masters in Business Administration) or the new and rarer MPA (Masters in Public Administration) remains a very popular qualification that many consider essential for promotion to a senior management role in any organization.
