ABSTRACT

Can agriculture in the developing world participate in the emerging carbon market? If so, how? There is very little experience with agricultural  carbon projects, and not much more with LULUCF, although the latter can  already be seen to raise equity issues (Boyd, 2002; Brown and Corbera,  2003; Brown et al, 2004; May et al, 2004); agricultural sinks might also  have livelihoods implications, but these are reviewed later in this book.
