ABSTRACT

All properties in a polymer and/or in a fi bre are controlled by their molecular morphology that is the overall structure. The structure of polymer like crystal, crystalline and other ordered and disordered is created by the crystallization mechanisms. This means information about the crystallization mechanisms can be obtained by means of crystallization kinetic studies. So crystallization studies in polymers and/or fi bres are important for different properties as well as for different end products. These studies are concerned with the way in which the structure is laid down. The mechanism is mostly concerned with the rearrangement of the molecules to form the more ordered arrays, characteristic of the solid state. Morphology is concerned with the nature of the fi nal state after the crystallization process is complete.
