ABSTRACT

In this chapter we consider the effect of chirality on conservation of

electron one-half pseudospins in the metallic carbon nanotubes. It

restricts probabilities of certain scattering processes when electron

momentum is located in the vicinity of Dirac points K and K′. In experimental situations it corresponds to low values of the bias

voltage VSD and of temperature T , that is, when max{VSD, T } ≤ . In particular, conservation of the pseudospin leads to suppression of

electron-impurity and of electron-phonon back scattering and thus

impacts the whole transport of electrons.
