ABSTRACT
The class of carbon-based crystals comprises a large variety
of different systems with an equally large diversity of physical
properties. Carbon is considered as a basic element of life because
it forms a ground of all organic chemistry. The dimensionality of
carbon-based systems and flexibility of the carbon atom bonding
determine the variety of physical properties of these structures.
