ABSTRACT

Biodegradable polymers have broad applications in the biomedical field due to their unique properties such as biodegradability and biocompatibility. Due to the above properties, the biodegradable polymers were formulated with nanoparticles. The increase in the requirement of biomedical materials has led to a recent development in nanobiotechnology and medical technology: production of novel biodegradable polymer-loaded nanoparticles with unique properties. These polymer-loaded nanoparticles have the property to target specific cells since these nanoparticles are coated with a protective hydrophilic layer on the surface.
