ABSTRACT
In the case of a three-dimensional lattice, a primitive unit cell has
the shape of a parallelepiped defined by three non-collinear and
not all in the same plane primitive translation vectors a1, a2, and a3. The most general example of a primitive unit cell is shown in Fig. 2.1.
