ABSTRACT
He who would learn to fly one day must first learn to stand and walk and run and climb and dance; one cannot fly into flying.
—Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900)
Before diving into the heart of the matter of nanomedicine, let’s
briefly discuss nanotechnology and-since there is such a close
connection between nano-and information technology (IT), let’s
also take a look at the important role of computers in nanomedicine.
We will then focus on materials used in nanomedicine, and discuss
the impact of those materials on medical diagnostics (including
medical imaging), on drug delivery, and regenerative medicine.
