ABSTRACT

The efficacy of a drug depends on its ability to interact with its

specific molecular target. For drug molecules that act on intracel-

lular targets, the need to mediate efficient intracellular transport

to the site of the molecular target is being increasingly recognized.

This chapter discusses current strategies for intracellular delivery to

mitochondria as examples that might be applied to other organelles

as well.
