ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts discussed in this book. The book summarizes and discusses the roles, motivations, and update of instrumentation technology and measurement strategies, including errors and uncertainty issues in automotive engines. The quality philosophy of automotive engine parts designates the processes of measuring their dimensional and geometrical features through important processes for either inspection or diagnoses. The purpose of these measurement techniques is to assess and ensure the compliance of the engine parts with the intended design specifications. Particularly in the modern automotive engines, dimensional and geometrical form inspection constitutes a dominant portion of the total assessment work.
